On May 13, 2008 Valley County voters approved a $21.265 million dollar bond issue to build a new 68,600 square foot, state of the art replacement hospital in Ord. This will ensure that future generations of the six county region we serve will be assured of the convenience, accessibility and quality of healthcare our patients need and deserve. Site preparation and a ground breaking ceremony took place in Fall 2008. Construction began in the spring of 2009 with completion scheduled in Fall 2010.    A dedication and public open house was held on Sunday, September 26th, 2010.  The new hospital opened on Sunday, October 3, 2010.
