Donation Wall
Visitors entering the main entrance of Valley County Health System are immediately struck with the simplistic beauty of the donor wall. It is here that the names of those who generously support Valley County Health System are inscribed in perpetuity. What we plant today will root and grow...
The Valley County Health System Foundation donor wall, named Gifts of Sheltering Love, exemplifies what gifts to the Health System represent — a provision for helping secure the financial future of the Health System and thereby protecting the healthcare needs of the area.
Gifts of Sheltering Love is a magnificent wood, vinyl and polished brass creation, originally designed and installed by Hal Holoun, artist and native of Ord, in January 1993, with an addition in 2008 by Ken Cullers. New names are added when thoughtful donors give to the Valley County Health System Foundation.
Nameplates on the donor wall bear the names of those who have made cumulative gifts of $1,000 or more. Levels of giving include:
Friends
$1,000 to $4,999
Builders
$5,000 to $9,999
Stewards
$10,000 to $24,999
Patrons
$25,000 to $49,999
Benefactors
$50,000 to $99,999
Humanitarians
$100,000 and up
Humanitarian donors will receive a beautiful, inscribed solid wood plaque to hang in their home or office in addition to a nameplate on the wall. To see a current list of donors listed on the Donor Wall, click here.

New Facility Update: Week of July 12
During the weeks of July 5th and 12th, noticeable progress was made on the new hospital. Wall and floor covering installation continued in the medical clinic, specialty clinic and emergency department. Ceiling grid continued to be installed and electrical and plumbing contractors remained busy with lighting and hook-ups. The security contractor was on-site cabling the doors throughout the building.
