Valley County Health System now provides new state-of-the-art digital mammography services. Performed in conjunction with monthly self-breast examinations and an annual physical breast exam from your medical provider, getting a mammogram can help detect breast cancer in its early, more treatable stages.
The Department of Health and Human Services recommend women have a screening mammogram by the age of 40, sooner if you have a fmily history of breast cancer. Mammography is the best screening tool that doctors have for finding breast cancer. If it's found early, the chances of survival and the treatments available are greatly improved.

Our new digital mammography unit provies patients with more efficient and improved imaging with the lowest possible dose, making it the unit recommended for imaging younger patients.
The Radiologist will have the ability to review images and order any additional views, saving patients the inconvenience of having to reschedule another appointment.

what the imaging department does and how each area works. It was
informative, educational and timely. Sue was able to take complex diagnostic
scans and explain them so that each person could understand and was engaged
through the entire presentation. The variety of diagnostic scans that are
