Physical Therapy

Physical TherapistsPhysical therapists diagnose and treat pain and movement dysfunction following injury, illness and surgery.

Treatment involves utilization of various forms of exercise, manual skills and healing technology to assist in decreasing pain and restoring function.

The ultimate goal is to increase activity levels to promote improved fitness, wellness and quality of life.

Our therapists excel in the treatment of the following:

  • Low back and neck pain
  • Muscle strains and sprains
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Dizziness/Balance disorders
  • Stroke and neurological rehabilitation
  • Sports injuries and screens
  • Headaches
  • Foot pain
  • Temporal-mandibular (TMJ or jaw) pain
  • General strengthening and endurance
  • Scoliosis
  • Chronic pain and fibromyalgia
  • Fall prevention
  • Foot orthotics

We have physical therapists available who have received advanced training from the Postural Restoration Institute.  This program has proven very effective in treating most of the above problems as well as many chronic conditions.  This approach coordinates appropriate breathing techniques combined with manual skills and specific exercises to normalize posture and reduce pain.

In the new hospital we will also offer aquatic therapy services in our new aquatherapy pool.

New Facility Update: Week of July 12

During the weeks of July 5th and 12th, noticeable progress was made on the new hospital.  Wall and floor covering installation continued in the medical clinic, specialty clinic and emergency department.  Ceiling grid continued to be installed and electrical and plumbing contractors remained busy with lighting and hook-ups.  The security contractor was on-site cabling the doors throughout the building.
