Pre- and post-operation consultations

A local physician may be present when seeing a specialist for a health consultation.

Videoconferencing allows people to meet “face-to-face” without travel. Two of our most popular services include administrative meetings and interviews. Also, conferences with more than one telemedicine site are available.

Confidentiality

Every effort is made to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. The patient and specialist are both in private rooms directly connected to one another. The T1 network is a dedicated, point-to-point connection.

Cost

For health consultations, the same billing system is used as for in-person encounters.

Educational opportunities and videoconferencing costs are available by contacting the Valley County Health System Specialty Clinic at 308-728-4295 or the Education Department at 308-728-4337.

Benefits

Patients and their families benefit from decreased time on the road and time off from work. Communities benefit from education and training opportunities that may otherwise be inaccessible.

Scheduling

If you require an appointment with a healthcare provider, a time and date will be arranged through the provider’s office. When you arrive for your visit, a staff member will explain the procedure.

Scheduling for education and videoconferencing is obtained through the Valley County Health System Specialty Clinic.
