Arcadia VBall Teams Donate Artwork to VCHS
The month of October is known as Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death of women, only to be surpassed by lung cancer. On the night of October 28, 2010 when the Arcadia Junior and High School Volleyball teams played St. Edward, both teams collaborated and raised a total of $616.19. The money was donated to the Valley County Health System Foundation to purchase two canvas photographs for the Chemotherapy and Mammography Rooms. The photographer, Bob Rooney, owner of Sandhills Images Photography in Brewster, NE inscribed the name of the 2010 Arcadia Volleyball Teams on the bottom of each canvas.
Valley County Health System thanks the Arcadia Volleyball Teams for their generous donation. The addition of the beautiful artwork will be appreciated by patients for many years to come.
