Bartley Attends Emotional Manipulation Seminar
James Bartley, a Psychotherapist in the Heritage Program at Valley County Health System, recently attended an Emotional Manipulation Seminar in Omaha on December 7th.
Although many people are great emotional manipulators they are not personality disordered. Research has found that emotional manipulation is also utilized by abusers and their victims; sex offenders; and even bosses who emotionally manipulate their employees. The seminar focused on helping mental health care professionals recognize these individuals and begin intervention with their victims to minimize their destructive behavior. Seminar participates learned what drives Emotional Manipulation, the vulnerable thoughts of the victims, and how emotional manipulators continually manipulate their victims.
