Bengston Completes Rheumatology Training
Jennifer Bengston, MD at Valley County Health System attended training from Dec. 17-19 in Orlando, FL. The training was Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Medicine for Primary Care Physicians and was provided by Medical Education Resources. The program provided primary care physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses with an update on rheumatology and musculoskeletal medicine.
Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of conditions and diseases affecting the joints, muscles, and bones. Some of the conditions covered were joint pain, arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia.
