Friesen, Klein, Ryschon and Waltman Receive CT Certification
Stephanie Friesen, Amy Klein, Kristen Ryschon and Lindsey Waltman, Registered Technologists in Radiography, RT (R) at Valley County Health System, have received certification in Computed Tomography (CT). The certification is offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) and consists of an examination. The purpose of the ARRT Examination is to assess the knowledge and cognitive skills underlying the performance of the tasks typically required of staff technologists. The exam consists of three categories: patient care, imaging procedures and physics and instrumentation.
Valley County Health System provides numerous imaging services, including CT Scan, MRI, DXA Scan, Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, X-Ray, Echocardiography, Mammography and Nuclear Medicine. New equipment, including digital mammography and in-house MRI, will be available in the new facility.
