Good Beginnings Donates Books to Valley County Libraries
The Valley County Health System Good Beginnings Committee recently donated two parenting books to the Ord Township Library. The books, titled Positive Parenting from A to Z, Karen Renshaw Joslin and Have a New Kid by Friday: How to Change Your Child's Attitude, Behavior and Character in 5 Days, Dr. Kevin Leman, will be on display in the New Releases Non Fiction section of the library. Books will also be donated to the libraries in North Loup and Arcadia.
The VCHS Child Development Committee is made up of parents, educators, professionals and healthcare providers. The mission of this committee is to make a positive difference in the lives of young children in Valley County by educating parents about children's growth and development, in order to strength the family unit as a whole. Events and projects sponsored by the Committee include the annual kid's fair, Love & Logic parenting classes, educational bags to all parents of newborns residing in Valley County, Leading to Reading postcards and preschool screenings.
