Groundbreaking Celebration for New Hospital
The groundbreaking celebration for Valley County Health System’s replacement hospital facility will be held on Tuesday, October 7, at 5:15 pm. The event will be held near the new site location at 27th and M Streets. Governor Dave Heineman will be the honored guest.
Since Valley County voters approved the replacement facility on May 13th, Valley County Health System employees and board members have been working with architects on the planning and design phases of the project. The planning phase is complete and the design phase is well underway. Site preparation for the project is scheduled to begin in October with construction of the building beginning in spring of 2009.
The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking celebration. Those attending are asked to park in the Ord Family Health Center or Valley View Living Center parking lots. Following the celebration, Business After Hours will be hosted at the same location. Hors devours will be served as well as the building layout and virtual tour of the new facility.
