Jack Williams Named VCHS CEO
The Valley County Health System Board of Trustees has hired Jack Williams as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Jack currently resides in Gregory, South Dakota where he has served as CEO/Administrator of the Avera Gregory Healthcare Center, a critical access hospital, since 2008. Prior to that, he and his family lived in Minnesota where he was a Nursing Home Administrator Consultant for seven years and served on numerous public boards, including the Minnesota School Boards Association and a number of committees at the National School Boards Association. From 1996-2001 Jack was the Administrator of a 119-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Milaca, MN. Prior to his healthcare endeavors, Jack had sixteen years of managerial experience in commercial bank lending and credit administration culminating with ten years as Vice President at the National City Bank of Minneapolis.
Jack received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in Business Administration and Political Science. He later received graduate education in Healthcare Administration and Long Term Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. In addition, he completed a Humphrey Policy Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Jack and his wife, Gloria (Tutti) have four adult children: Jack III, Treva (Jon Quiring), JaNahn and Trista; and one grand-daughter, Madison.
"I look forward to joining the Valley County Health System team. It is very evident that the staff and facilities offer premier healthcare services in Valley County and surrounding areas. My wife (Tutti) and I are also excited about becoming active residents in the Ord community," stated Jack.
It is anticipated that Jack will begin at VCHS on June 15. Bill Luke, who has been serving as Interim CEO, will continue that role and help with the transition through June 30th.

Through a very diligent process the board has selected a CEO who possesses all of the qualities we were looking for. Jack has a diverse variety of experiences and is a well-rounded individual. Jack is a good fit for the community and will make an excellent leader. We thank Bryan LGH and Bill Luke, Interim CEO for their knowledge and guidance during the recruiting process and transition period. As we welcome a new CEO, VCHS looks forward to the future as we continue to provide quality health care to this region."
A community welcome reception will be held in late June.
