Jane Meyer, Nurse Practitioner, to Join VCHS Medical Staff
Jane Meyer, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), will join the VCHS medical staff on June 15. She will join other mid-level practitioners (PA-C’s) and will be seeing patients at Ord Family Health Center. Jane received her Master of Science in Nursing in May 2008 and then earned her APRN license. Most recently she was employed at Internal Medicine Associates in North Platte. She is proficient in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of common acute and chronic health conditions across the lifespan. Jane also has experience working in the emergency department and in critical access hospitals.
A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed advanced education and training in specialty areas and diagnosis and management of most common disorders. They can diagnose, treat and monitor most illnesses, injuries, infections and chronic diseases. Nurse practitioners can also take medical histories; perform physicals; order, interpret and report lab results, X-rays and EKGs and much more.
Jane and her husband, Brian, will move to Ord with their three sons: Kelen, 6; Hunter, 5; and Colt, 22 months.
A welcome reception for Jane and business after hours has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th from 5-6:30 pm at Ord Family Health Center.
