Local Farmers Donate Grain to VCHS Foundation
With the prospects of good yields and high grain prices, many grain producers are about to harvest a record income. Marty Petska, Jim Edwards, Chuck Zangger, Jim Novotny and Roger Lansman have decided to donate a gift of grain to the Valley County Health System Foundation this harvest as a way to minimize their tax liability while making a charitable gift to a local foundation. These farmers encourage others to consider giving a gift of grain to their favorite charity.
Producers should check with their accountants to determine whether a contribution of commodities is appropriate to their tax situation. Valley County Health System Foundation will be happy to visit with you about arranging an agricultural gift. Contact Becky Ries at 308-728-3011.
