Meyer Attends Nurse Practitioner Conference
Jane Meyer, APRN-NP from Valley County Health System attended the AANP 2011 Specialty Conference for Primary Care Nurse Practitioners on the orthopedic track in San Diego, CA, Oct. 28-30. Conference objectives focused on were the ability to prescribe appropriate management of common orthopedic conditions and make appropriate specialty referrals, describing diagnosis and treatment of connective tissue disorders, degenerative disease of the musculoskeletal system and arthrotides, properly diagnosing and managing common pediatric orthopedics conditions, and describing principles of orthopedic injection, arthrocentesis, casting and splinting.
