VCHS Announces Logo Contest Winners
Ord - The Valley County Health System Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the three winners of their logo design contest. Twenty-eight people submitted a total of 33 logo designs. A committee comprised of VCHS employees and community members selected the top three logo designs based on the guidelines that were established for the contest. These designs were forwarded to the Board for their consideration. After the board made a decision on the winning logo as well as the 1st and 2nd runner up, the names of the three people who designed the logos were revealed.
The winning logo was designed by Melanie Kolar of Arcadia. Melanie received $500 for her logo design. First runner up was Tobias Michnik of Scotia. Tobias is a German foreign exchange student living with Russ and Annette Bloom. He received $250. Second runner up is Kathryn (Valasek) Nygren of Wahoo. She is a 1999 graduate of Ord High School and received $100 for her logo submission.
The services of a marketing firm are now being utilized to finalize the winning logo. The colors and final layout of the winning logo will be approved at the February VCHS Board meeting. At that time, the new logo design will be released to the public.
