VCHS Celebrating Home Health & Hospice Month
Ord - More than 11 million Americans receive home-delivered health care. In honor of those caregivers, VCHS Home Health & Hospice joins the National Association for Home Care & Hospice in celebrating November as National Home Care Month.
"Caring for the sick and elderly in their homes truly is a privilege for us," said Carol Schroeder, Director of VCHS Home Health & Hospice. "Home care professionals, volunteers and modern medicine make it possible for many people to stay in their home environment longer than would otherwise be possible. Through this celebration, our goal is to let people know about the supportive and compassionate services that home health and hospice are able to provide."
To help people learn more about home health and hospice care, Valley County Health System Home Health & Hospice will host a Holiday Happenings Open House on Tuesday, November 16th, from 2-4 pm in the Home Health/Hospice office at 400 S. 23rd Street in Ord. For more information, call 308-728-4355.
VCHS Home Health and Hospice is a member of the Nebraska Association of Home & Community Health Agencies, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Partnership. Information about hospice, palliative care and advance care planning is also available at nehospice.org.
