VCHS Selling DME service
February 28, 2011
The VCHS Board of Trustees has voted to sell the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) service to Frontier Home Medical. The decision was made due to low volume and changes in Medicare reimbursement for DME services.
All current DME patients are in the process of being contacted by Frontier Home Medical and Kirby Jensen. Home Health Director Carol Schroeder is pleased with the quality of services provided by Frontier and feels this will be a smooth transition. The effective date of this transition is being worked out. This information will be released when it is available.
