Three Wellness Classes Introduced
Classes this Fall Ord – Valley County Health System will be offering three wellness classes this fall for the public. These classes will be held September 14 through November 24.
A Low Impact Aerobics & Toning class will be taught by Sheri Schrage, a Certified
Health Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine. This class will offer continuous rhythmic activity in which at least one foot contacts the floor at all times. The class will be held from 5:30 – 6:30 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the VCHS Education Center in downtown Ord.
Sheri will also instruct a Movement Improvement Tai Chi class. Tai Chi is an exercise to enhance balance, flexibility, and wellbeing taught at a pace everyone can follow. It will be offered from 6:45 to 7:45 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the VCHS Education Center.
A Core Conditioning and Toning class will be taught by Johnathan Tomjack, Certified Personal Trainer/Advanced Program Design Specialist. This class will feature dynamic balance, strengthening and improved range of motion through weight training and use of an exercise ball. The class will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at St. Mary’s Gym from 6:00 am to 6:45 am.
Registration is $40.00. This fee allows participants to attend any or all classes of their choosing. To register for any or all of the classes call Johnathan at 728-4257.
