Bob Moyer
A bad stomach ache. That's what Bob Moyer thought was happening last summer. Still, the Ord man went to see a doctor who recommended he have a cardiac catheterization. It showed a 95 percent blockage in one of his coronary arteries. "I was never out of breath. I don’t think my heart was hurting me at all," Moyer said. "We found it by accident." Moyer had a stent placed in the artery last summer and began the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Valley County Health System in August following the recommendation of his doctor. He said he never questioned whether rehab was necessary, especially since he had blockages in two other arteries as well. "I knew I had to do something about that," he said. Although he graduated from the cardiac rehab program, Moyer continues to visit the VCHS Wellness Center several times each week to exercise. He said he encourages everyone to find time to exercise. And those who may need cardiac rehab in the future should be sure to go through the program. "It was a great experience."
