Larry Kearns

2008 began like any other year for Larry Kearns of Ord. It wasn’t until he went in for routine testing at Valley County Health System that he discovered the year would prove to be a difficult one for he and his family. Bob Reilly, PA-C at Ord Family Health Center contacted Larry regarding a high PSA level. An appointment with Dr. Wendt at the VCHS Specialty Clinic was scheduled for the very next day and prostate cancer was confirmed. In the meantime, a stress test was scheduled by Dr. McGowan, another specialist who visits the VCHS Specialty Clinic every other week. The test revealed the need for the placement of a stent. During the entire process, Larry utilized a broad scope of services that Valley County Health System provides; including nuclear medicine, cardiac rehab, echocardiogram, specialty clinic and the medical clinic. “The excellence of care I received was phenomenal. Employees at Valley County Health System were very thorough and took their time to explain the services I was receiving. They were extremely kind and accomodating to my needs.”
