Richard Bilka

"I was treated by the Emergency Room personnel on Aug. 14, 2010, at the former Ord hospital. They were caring and compassionate awaiting the air flight to St. Elizabeth's in Lincoln.

After treatment for 3rd degree burns, two stents and a balloon, followed by treatment at Tabitha Life Quest and Madonna, I returned to the new Ord hospital on Oct. 28, 2010. I've had occupational therapy, physical therapy and cardiac rehabilitation.

The staff was very proficient in scheduling my appointments. Everyone was very knowledgeable in my treatment. VCHS acquired the newest technique recommended at Madonna, a Stat-A-Dyne, for my right hand. It was the first one used in Nebraska! My family
appreciates the great care provided to me by Valley County Health System!"

Gold Star Award

Business Office & Colleagues

Special thanks to the Business Office Department for their help in the semi-annual VCHS trash pick-up. On Tuesday April 17th, 2012 seven of their employees and three other colleagues from VCHS successfully picked up the trash along Hwy 11 from the Ord Golf Course to past the airport. This is the second time an individual department has volunteered to do this and it is greatly appreciated! Thanks to all those who participated!
