Hospice to Offer Grief Support Classes June 13 - July 25

ORD, Neb. – Valley County Health System (VCHS) Hospice will sponsor free Grief Support classes on Tuesdays from June 13-July 25 for adults who have lost a loved one. The classes will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at Valley County Home Health/Hospice at 400 South 23rd St., Ord.

Grief support groups can be instrumental in helping people feel less isolated as they move forward at their own pace in their own way in working through their grief.

Connie Felt, a previous VCHS grief class participant said the following about her experience. “Each of us understood the pain of grieving, and we learned that it is certainly not a fast process, but a necessary one to work through. This group grew very close together. The group remains confidential – what is said at the meeting stays within the group, so it became easy to share. I encourage anyone struggling with this process to come and try the sessions. My hope is that you will benefit as much as our group did.”

Sally Wagner, Rolen Sell, and Marilyn Winkelbauer will co-facilitate the classes. If you are interested in learning more about these classes, please contact Marilyn at 308-728-4315.
