Kavalec receives wound care certification

ORD, Neb. – Jackie Kavalec, a Valley County Health System (VCHS) Specialty Clinic registered nurse, recently received her Certified Wound Care Associate (CWCA) certificate from The American Board of Wound Management (ABWM).

Healthcare professionals must have 3 years of wound care experience in order to take the test.  Candidates must also possess a full and unrestricted professional license.  The ABWM does not provide review materials for the 50 question test.  It is the responsibility of the candidate to prepare by any means they feel are appropriate.  “Preparing for this test required a significant amount of time and dedication,” VCHS Specialty Clinic Manager, Jessica DeGroff, RN, says.  “Jackie’s certification proves her commitment to the highest standards in wound care for our patients.”
