Miley named VCHS Employee of the Quarter
ORD, Neb. – Cheri Miley, RN, has been named the Valley County Health System (VCHS) Employee of the Quarter. Miley, a Home Health and Hospice RN, was nominated by coworkers for demonstrating the VCHS values of integrity, compassion, ownership, respect and trust. VCHS CEO Nancy Glaubke and Home Health and Hospice Director Carol Schroeder, RN, presented the award to Miley during a reception with coworkers on Apr. 23 at VCHS.
Miley’s nomination read:
“Integrity – Cheri is not judgmental and never speaks badly of another person. She is professional in her patient care and has a great love of knowledge. Cheri does an excellent job teaching her patients.
Compassion – Cheri is always an advocate for what is best for her patients. She encourages them to meet their goals. Cheri is always willing to go the extra mile to meet her patient’s needs. She always makes herself available for others and readily answers questions in an encouraging way. She is a great mentor for her coworkers.
Ownership – Whatever assignment Cheri is given, she takes on the responsibility and never complains. She is especially good with hospice patients and their families. She has such an impact in their lives when the end is near.
Respect – There is mutual respect between Cheri and her patients. She listens carefully to others and encourages them to do their best. She definitely has the respect of her coworkers and the other nurses and physicians in the area.
Trust – Cheri has a genuine trust in the good of people. She brings so much to our team at Home Health and Hospice. We love having Cheri on our team!
Cheri is one of the hardest working and most efficient RN’s in Home Health and Hospice. She shows the values of VCHS in all her patient interactions. Cheri is our go-to professional when Carol is unavailable. She has knowledge in all areas of Home Health and Hospice. She is always willing to answer the phone at any time of the day or night. We are blessed to have her on our team.”
With this recognition, Miley will also be considered for the VCHS Employee of the Year award for fiscal year 2018-2019.
