Standlea named VCHS Employee of the Quarter
ORD, Neb. – Wayne Standlea has been named the Valley County Health System (VCHS) Employee of the Quarter. Standlea, an Environmental Services Assistant, was nominated by a coworker for demonstrating the VCHS values of integrity, compassion, ownership, respect and trust. VCHS CEO Nancy Glaubke presented the award to Standlea during a reception with coworkers and family on Oct. 15 at VCHS.
Standlea’s nomination read:
“Integrity – I know that when he is cleaning our area he is going to do a great job every time.
Compassion – He is always polite, caring and kind to every patient as well as fellow co-workers.
Ownership – Wayne is a hard worker. He will spot a cobweb right away. If he is talking he is still busy cleaning. If he is working the weekend, he will put a positive spin on why it is fine working the weekend. I always appreciate his positive attitude and the smile on his face.
Respect – He respects everyone that he encounters. He respects the VCHS property and makes sure it is well taken care of.
Trust – We trust he will get the job done and he is a dependable employee.
Thank you, Wayne, for keeping our building spotless. It is always great to work with someone with a shining personality like yours!”
With this recognition, Standlea will also be considered for the VCHS Employee of the Year award for fiscal year 2018-2019.
