Swett named VCHS Employee of the Quarter

ORD, Neb. – Cheryl Swett, RN, has been named the Valley County Health System (VCHS) Employee of the Quarter. Swett, an Acute Care RN, was nominated by a coworker for demonstrating the VCHS values of integrity, compassion, ownership, respect and trust. VCHS Director of Human Resources Danielle Proskocil, PHR, SHRM-CP, and Chief Nursing Officer Vicki Bredthauer, RN, presented the award to Swett during a reception with coworkers and family on Feb. 12 at VCHS.

Swett’s nomination read:

“Integrity – Cheryl possesses this on a daily basis.  She ensures each shift runs effectively and smoothly.  She can handle very difficult situations with ease.

Compassion – This is Cheryl’s middle name!  She cares about everyone.  We often refer to Cheryl as our “second mom”.

Ownership – Cheryl takes great pride in her work.  She is always looking for ways to improve herself and the outcome of patients.

Respect – Cheryl is respected by everyone she encounters.  She also treats all patients, providers, staff and families with the utmost respect.

Trust – I can always trust that Cheryl will do the right thing.

With this recognition, Swett will also be considered for the VCHS Employee of the Year award for fiscal year 2018-2019.
