Advanced Patient Monitor the Latest VCHS Foundation Donation

ORD, Neb. – The Valley County Health System (VCHS) Foundation recently donated an advanced patient monitor to VCHS with funds raised at this year’s Foundation gala.

The Philips MP5 Portable Patient Monitor with ETC02 monitoring measures and provides patient information, such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure. Its network capabilities allow to nurses, doctors and other clinicians to securely monitor a patient’s condition while at VCHS across multiple departments, including ER, Acute Care and Surgery.

“This advanced patient monitor will provide additional support to our medical staff and nurses in making timely, informed decisions about a patient’s condition and care,” VCHS Acute Care Nurse Manager Amy Jackson, RN, said. “Thanks to the generosity of the VCHS Foundation and this year’s gala donors, we will continue to provide progressive care with compassion to our patients with this newest piece of state-of-the-art equipment.”

Other recent VCHS Foundation donations to VCHS include an additional orthopedic instrument set and commercial-grade treadmill. A separate 501 (c) (3) organization, the VCHS Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of VCHS and has a vision to be the healthcare provider of choice and a symbol of strength, vitality and caring in the region VCHS serves.

“Under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation conducts events, campaigns and programs that generate annual and monthly giving, as well as other gifts, including legacy gifts,” VCHS Foundation Executive Director  Becky Ries said. “The Foundation is very grateful to be part of such a giving community that supports VCHS and its future.”
