VCHS Ranks Amongst Top 25% of Rural Hospitals Nationally for Quality

ORD, Neb. – Valley County Health System (VCHS) was recognized in the top quartile of all rural acute care hospitals in the nation for “Excellence in Quality” by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) and The Chartis Center for Rural Health/iVantage Health Analytics.  This is the 2nd time VCHS has received this honor.

“The entire VCHS team is dedicated to providing progressive care with compassion, and we are delighted to be recognized for this accomplishment again this year,” VCHS CEO Nancy Glaubke said.

Hospitals were ranked according to the Hospital Strength INDEX, which includes data aggregated from more than 50 performance metrics for all rural and critical access hospitals.  In partnership with NOSORH, iVantage Health Analytics developed a data-driven program to identify excellence in hospital performance and patient care.

In addition to recognizing these top performance rankings, VCHS joined with NOSORH partners from across the United States to celebrate National Rural Health Day on Thurs., Nov. 15.
