Vivian Damratowski, VCHS Hospice volunteer, earns statewide recognition

ORD, Neb. – Vivian Damratowski of Loup City, Neb., a volunteer for Valley County Health System (VCHS) Hospice, was honored as an exemplary volunteer at the annual Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association (NHPCA) banquet on March 12 in Lincoln, Neb. Each year, NHPCA recognizes volunteers who provided outstanding volunteer services during the previous year at a Nebraska hospice agency.

“Vivian volunteered over 80 hours of her time last year,” VCHS Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Zach said. “Vivian takes the time to provide care and support to patients and families during the patient’s final days.  Her compassion is invaluable to both the patients and our program.”

Vivian is one of dozens of VCHS Hospice volunteers who have donated countless hours to volunteering with the Hospice program.
