Valley County Health System offers progressive health care with a broad range of services not often found in a rural hospital. In our modern, convenient facility, we offer many of the same state-of-the-art services and technologies found in larger cities. For added accessibility, we extend many of our services to several communities surrounding Valley County.
VCHS provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Emergency room services are available 24-hours per day, seven-days per week.

Associate of the Quarter
Leora Sedlacek has been named Associate of the Quarter at Valley County Health System for the 3rd Quarter of the 2014-2015 fiscal year.
In a letter nominating Sedlacek for the honor, a co-worker discussed how she portrays the values of VCHS. “Leora exemplifies integrity by always being professional in her daily duties. She is very compassionate to all of her patients. She always shows ownership for her work and won’t rest until the job is done and done right. She is very respectful to her patients, her co-workers and to the Providers she works alongside. Last but not least, Leora is very trustworthy. She is fair and truthful in all she does. Leora’s work ethics are beyond compare – she is a gem to work with. We are glad she is on our team!”
Sedlacek is an LPN-C in the Medical Clinic and has been with VCHS for 38 years. She began in Acute Care and soon became a Surgical Scrub Nurse and continues to offer her skills in OR on a weekly basis.
