Our Services

Individual Therapy is a process between you and your therapist. You and your therapist will discuss your needs to determine your individualized plan of participation. Treatment will begin with a thorough assessment of the problems you are experiencing.  Following this evaluation, you and your therapist will develop a plan of care to meet your needs. Individual therapy allows you to explore feelings, beliefs and behavior, which will help you to live the life you desire.

 

Group Therapy is a process that consist of 3 to 12 individuals in a group. Group process is focused on such areas of complicated grief, trauma reactions, and adjustment problems.  Each group is uniquely planned with a daily topic that will help you to learn about yourself along your journey. The Outpatient Program operates five (5) days a week Monday through Friday.  Office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

 

Couple and Family Therapy provides support for families and couples. The focus is to build on strengths to expand skills in communication, intimacy, and understanding. Through couple and family therapy the focus of individual needs can become evident. Leading to more individual focus to expand on self-awareness and self-improvement. 

 

Community Outreach plays a vital role in supporting people with severe mental illness and psychiatric disability. It is important to us that our communities are aware of the proper treatment and support needed of individuals whom experience chronic mental illness. Valley County Health System provides this support by utilizing the three-step process: Education, Prevention and Treatment. Community presentation, radio speaking engagements and quarterly newsletters are a few actions they take to help people with mental illnesses thrive in their community.

Family Support and Education This program invites all family members to an educational and supportive family program.  This program designed to provide education and support to the family members of those experiencing emotional or mental health disorders. 

Telehealth Consultation the purpose of this service is to assess and treat patients whom participate in the Outpatient Program. Our psychiatrists provide medication management and care coordination, Medical Director Kavir Saxena, MD, along with Sriram Ramaswamy, MD and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Patricia Lenz, APRN.

Genesight Testing – This test is available to clients who are enrolled in therapy services at the Heritage Program for Seniors. Genesight testing would be ordered by one of our physicians when the client is having difficulties finding the most effective medication regimen. Genesight is compatible with Medicare and most insurance supplements. Please contact the program for more information or additional questions.
