Kaye Day

Kaye's nomination reads:

Kaye is an awesome team member.  She makes an extra effort to go above and beyond with her patients and co-workers.  She mentors new employees. She's not afraid to take patients who have more difficult needs.  

I have seen her relate beautifully in hospice relationships and truly make a difference in the lives of the patient and their family members. She works well with physicians and talks with them directly to advocate for improvements in patient care. She has previous patients that she maintains a connection with and lets them know that she still cares, even though she isn't working directly with them. She is available to provide a listening ear to help problem solve, and pitches in when help is needed.  She isn't afraid to speak up if she thinks there is a better approach to doing a task, or share her ideas willingly.  She brightens the days of

others with her smiles, laughter. and hugs. Kaye is a very worthy recipient of our Gold Star Award.
