Bredthauer named VCHS Employee of the Quarter

 

ORD, Neb. – Rhonda Bredthauer has been named the Valley County Health System (VCHS) Employee of the Quarter. Bredthauer, VCHS Nutritional Services Assistant, was nominated by a coworker for exemplifying the VCHS values of integrity, compassion, ownership, respect and trust. VCHS CEO Nancy Glaubke presented the award to Bredthauer during a reception with coworkers and family on Jan. 23 at VCHS.

Bredthauer’s nomination read:

“Integrity – Rhonda always does the right thing even when difficult. She goes above and beyond to ensure the best quality product from the Nutritional Services department.

Compassion – Rhonda especially focuses on compassion towards fellow employees, patients and their families. An example of her compassion is when she takes time to ensure that all weekend staff is well fed with tasty and nutritious food.  Rhonda also delivers coffee to hospice patient families which demonstrates fantastic customer service and care.

Ownership – Rhonda takes pride in her work while caring for others. She is dedicated to her job and to VCHS.   One word which can be used to describe her is “selfless.”

Respect – Rhonda works very well with others and always goes out of her way to help.

Trust – Rhonda is trustworthy. She demonstrates trust by following through on each of the values above- integrity, compassion, ownership, and respect for others.”

With this recognition, Bredthauer will also be considered for the VCHS Employee of the Year award for fiscal year 2017-2018.
