Dr. Keown to Offer Sports Medicine Clinic At VCHS
Valley County Health System (VCHS) would like to welcome Bernard Keown, MD, to the VCHS Specialty Clinic. Dr. Keown will begin offering a Sports Medicine Clinic the first and third Monday of every month.
Dr. Keown, a Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Specialist, has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. Graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1981, Dr. Keown completed his residency in family medicine. After moving to the Ord community, he served the area as a Family Medicine Practitioner for 10 years. From 1991-1992 Dr. Keown completed a Sports Medicine fellowship. Upon finishing that program, he started working for New West Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery PC, in Kearney and spent the remainder of his career there. Dr. Keown also spent time as a volunteer on the U.S. Olympic Committee, working with winter Olympic athletes. Sports Medicine is his passion and he is looking forward to seeing patients starting January 16th.
