VCHS Receives Trauma Re-Designation
Valley County Health System has once again been re-designated as a Basic Level Trauma Center by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
This designation recognizes the hospital's ability to provide prompt assessment, stabilization, and treatment for trauma patients before transfer to a higher level of care when needed. To maintain the designation, VCHS meets rigorous state standards through ongoing staff education, trauma preparedness, quality improvement initiatives, and regular review of trauma cases.
