Four Years Strong: Valley County Health System Earns National Recognition as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare

ORD, Neb. – For the fourth year in a row, Valley County Health System (VCHS) has been named one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare — a distinguished honor that highlights the organization’s consistent commitment to creating an exceptional workplace. VCHS is one of only four healthcare facilities in Nebraska to receive this recognition in 2026. This national award identifies and celebrates outstanding employers across the healthcare industry who go above and beyond to support their employees.

Results from a recent VCHS employee survey, as well as an extensive employer assessment, were utilized by Modern Healthcare and Workforce Research Group during the assessment process. The assessment consisted of over 70 questions related to the workforce, diversity and inclusion, benefits, wellness initiatives, fun activities, and work-life balance.

"This award is a testament to the outstanding people who make Valley County Health System what it is. VCHS will find out their ranking on the Best Places list and be celebrated at the 2026 Best Places to Work in Healthcare Awards Gala taking place September 16th, in Houston, Texas.
