Proskocil Earns SHRM Certification

ORD, Neb. – Danielle Proskocil, director of human resources at Valley County Health System (VCHS), has earned Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional designation – SHRM-CP – demonstrating her high level of knowledge and skills related to human resources.

“SHRM-CP is the new wave of accreditation for HR professionals. The breadth and depth of the program content will help me best serve VCHS’s more than 200 employees as well as those I work with outside of our organization,” Proskocil said.

The certification program consists of eight behavioral competencies, such as leadership, critical evaluation and relationship management, and 15 human resources functional areas, such as talent acquisition, U.S. employment law and regulations and HR strategic planning, that are deemed critical to the success of a human resources professional. Proskocil had to meet outlined educational and work experience criteria to sit for the 160-question certification exam.

Proskocil has worked at VCHS for 13 years, beginning at the VCHS medical clinics before becoming director of human resources in 2012. Proskocil has also carried Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification since 2008.
