Shoemaker named VCHS Employee of the Year

Laci Shoemaker, RN, has been named the Valley County Health System (VCHS) Employee of the Year for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. Shoemaker, VCHS Acute Care and ED Nurse, received the recognition because of her commitment to exemplifying the VCHS values of integrity, compassion, ownership, respect and trust and for going above and beyond in her work.

VCHS CEO Nancy Glaubke presented the award to Shoemaker at a ceremony at VCHS with coworkers, family and friends in attendance. Shoemaker was one of four VCHS Employee of the Quarter recipients during the last year. The VCHS Employee of the Year was voted on by VCHS employees who ultimately chose Shoemaker as the 2020-2021 recipient. In addition to receiving an award and certificate, Shoemaker will represent VCHS as the Nebraska Hospital Association Caring Kind Awards recipient.
