VCHS Employees Immunized to Prevent Spreading Flu

ORD, Neb. – Valley County Health System Employees have completed an important action to prevent influenza this season.  Of all the employees 95% have gotten the Influenza Immunization.  Getting a flu shot is the most effective action one can do to prevent getting the flu and spreading the flu. It is important for all people working in health care to get a flu shot so as to not spread this disease to the patients they serve. 

The Center for Disease Control, a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, states, “Yearly flu vaccination is the best tool currently available to protect against influenza (flu), a serious disease which sickens millions of people each year.  A yearly flu vaccination is the first and most important step in protecting against flu and its potentially serious complications.”
