VCHS Employees Recognized At State Level
At Valley County Health System (VCHS) community service and continuing education is something we encourage our staff to participate in. Benjamin Young, Megan Johnson & Elizabeth Todsen Clark have recently done just that.
Ben Young, VCHS Support Services Director, has been elected unanimously to serve on the Nebraska Society of Healthcare Engineers (NSHE) Board of Directors. The NSHE is a collaborative membership of healthcare facilities professionals who provide education opportunities, foster the exchange of information, and share best practices with patients and guests as their first priority. Ben will use his knowledge from his experience with construction projects here at VCHS to contribute to this Board as well as gain information by collaborating with others in his field.
Megan Johnson, VCHS PR Marketing & HR Manager, was recently elected to serve as the Membership Mentor on the Nebraska Healthcare Marketers (NHM) Board. NHM is a professional state society that provides networking and educational opportunities designed to improve the professional skills of health care strategic planning, marketing, public relations and communications. Highlighting collaboration over competition, the NHM group provides great educational opportunities and assistance for all of their members.
Elizabeth Todsen Clark, VCHS Foundation Director, completed her Master of Public Administration & Policy (MPAP) from American University in December of 2022. Based in Washington, DC, the American University's School of Public Affairs (SPA) is among the nation's top-ranked schools for public affairs. Topics covered in this program included, Public Administration, Policy Analysis, Leadership, Budgeting & Financial Management, and more. VCHS is excited to see how Elizabeth uses this knowledge to grow the Foundation and its mission.
