VCHS Orthopedic Provider Dr. Lesiak to Retire

Valley County Health System (VCHS) would like to wish Dr. Lesiak a happy retirement as he makes his final visit to VCHS on January 7th, 2021.

Dr. Lawrence Lesiak has provided orthopedic services for over 17 years at VCHS. He was instrumental in the design of the OR suites for the new hospital. After transitioning to the new facility he began scheduling total knees with our surgical services. Since 2010 he has completed 639 surgeries!

Dr. Lesiak’s contributions to VCHS will always be valued and remembered. His hard work, commitment and dedication for his patients is worthy of admiration. Dr. Lesiak’s genuine demeanor and orthopedic skills have left a permanent mark on everyone here at VCHS.

On behalf of everyone here at VCHS, we would like to say “Thank You” and wish him the best of luck with his retirement.

Although Dr. Lesiak is retiring the Orthopedic specialty clinic continues its regular schedule with Dr. Cahoy of Central Nebraska Orthopedics starting January 21st, 2021.

Dr. Philip Cahoy, a native Nebraskan, attended medical school at UNMC. He completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin and fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and Kansas City Chiefs Professional Football Team. 

Dr. Cahoy is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and specializes in Sports Medicine and General Orthopedics.  He is uniquely qualified in Sports Medicine as a Fellowship-trained specialist and a former Olympic athlete.  His athletic experience and specialized training gives him a superior perspective treating athletes and sports-related injuries.
